elders

On Saturday morning while working at the gallery I came across article about i-con Clint Eastwood where he shared his wisdom. So, one of the quotes was:

"We live in more of a pussy generation now, where everybody's become used to saying, "Well, how do we handle it psychologically?" In those days, you just punched the bully back and ducked it out. Even if the guy was older and could push you around, at least you were respected for fighting back... I don't know when exactly the pussy generation started. Maybe when people started asking about the meaning of life."

Not quiet sure if asking this questions makes you pussy. But what do I know? I am just a girl.

second day

Today I got inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat. With his art work he plaid ironically on notions of "primitive" art in order to question stereotypes of black artists. Not to mentions that he started as graffiti artist and got fame and fortune almost overnight, worked with Warhol and Clemente, all before his untimely death at the age of 28.

So I decided question myself as being Easter European in 1st world country- United Kingdom. My plan is to show what people expect me to be, their stereotypes against the reality.

Not quiet sure which form this project is going to take, but definitely a visual one.

PS ZYDECO is the name given to a form of Cajun music. Zydeco is also a name of this art work.
